Del Prado Elementary is pleased to announce that we will be using CurbSmart to manage our student release process!

CurbSmart is an easy-to-use app that instantly synchronizes pick-up lane arrivals, allowing school administrators inside and outside to coordinate the safe and organized release of students after school.  Administrators use the application by entering hang tag numbers into a smartphone or other device in which Inside Administrators view a list of student names on another device at a location where they release the students.

In an effort to provide the safest and most efficient release of students from our school please be advised of the following rules and procedures:

  • Students who get picked up in the car line will wait in a designated room on campus until their car has arrived.
  • Families receive a tag with a specific number on it that must be displayed from your rear view mirror in car line for your child to be called to the front of the school.
  • Parents who wish to pick their child up and walk must report with their tag and your child will be released one at a time from the media center door.
  • Our car line is a "cell phone fee" zone. Please keep all eyes and ears alert for the safety of our students and staff.
  • New After School Dismissal Procedures:  Starting the first day of school on August 13th, after school dismissal will now take place in the front office of the main school building and it will not start until 2:30pm in order to not interfere with regular car line dismissal.  If you have any questions, please contact Laurent Alvarez, our After School Director.
